I have worked with Arno since he was selected to fill Cheryl’s seat and have been very pleased at his dedication to the Town of Apex. He has shown understanding of the complexities of being an elected official in a growing town with challenges of transportation, infrastructure, and a diverse population. He understands development and zoning, policy making, budget constraints, and land use planning, which is essential for this elected position.
His supportive and inclusive nature for the entirety of Apex makes him the best candidate for being elected to a Town Council seat and continuing the work he is doing on the Council. His support for protection of the environment, connectivity, affordable housing, parks and recreation, and culturally and community diversity events is evident and important to make the community feel supported.

The most important role that an elected official can fufill is to be available and responsive to the community. Not all issues can be solved simply or quickly, but the willingness to engage and to try to explain, educate, and assist is key to being a representative of the 'people'. Mr. Zegerman examplifies these key traits in his actions and communications.
He demonstrates this by responding to community members when they reach out, along with his commitment to hear concerns and to offer to work on actions. All are served well by representatives that place the concerns of those they serve first and bring a fresh eyes approach to the Town Council and the issues that come before them.
